Goog in the Hood

Google LatLong: Neighborhood Search Capability

Google's targeting has recently been expanded to include neighborhood search in 50 cities around the US. (Sorry Canada).

In a few years, this will be so standard, that we'll reminisce about our quaint blog posts on the subject.

All politics is local. More importantly, all plumbing is local.

The easier it is for consumers to find local information online or via mobile devices, the greater jeopardy faces traditional media.

I work for Yellow Book USA in Oklahoma. As a company we have focused our internet responses to be a reverse version of Google. Local first & then the regional/national advertisers. Ideally you can find people in your area much easier than going to Google. It's yellowbook.com
That simple. By the way, our cost for internet is way cheaper than the phone company & we partner with all the big search engines. Google, Ask, Yahoo & MSN. I agree that there are way too many people out there charging way too much for their services. Do the math. What is a new customer worth & then look at what you pay for it. Don't just pay stupid amounts of money to ANYBODY without doing a strong return on investment.
